What Else Can I Do?
It is important to never force your pet to eat, but you can encourage them to eat.
For example, offer food that is warm, soft and smells strongly.
Sit with them, offer the food from your hand and talk to them gently to encourage them to take even a little from you.
It can be very stressful to see your cat or dog not eating, but a loss of appetite doesn’t necessarily indicate a health problem and could just mean a change in your pets eating habits.
So be patient and speak to your vet if you are concerned.
